Our Services

With offices in Auckland's Titirangi and Kingsland, at Synthesis Therapy and Counselling we are focused on understanding each client as a part of a larger picture. We believe individuals are best understood in relation to their past, their present, and their environment. Grounded in this understanding, we work along clients utilising a thoughtful, in depth approach to the therapeutic process. As therapists, we view clients not just in terms of their current difficulties, but as people with unique strengths and resilience. We aim to support you to develop long-lasting solutions and healing, to create stronger connections with others, and to become happier and healthier.

We specialise in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, providing services to address a full spectrum of clinical presentations. Our therapists are highly qualified to provide comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services.

We value connection, trust, respect, compassion, dedication, and advocacy. We place an emphasis on both individual treatment as well as integrative collaboration with other professionals in order to best facilitate growth and development for our clients.

To ensure our work with you remains as beneficial as possible we attend regular professional supervision with a Senior Therapist/Counsellor. If we discuss your situation in supervision anonymity is assured as we donnot use identifying details. The only exception to maintaining confidentiality is if you were at risk of causing serious harm to yourself or others, or if you disclose that there is a serious risk of harm to you from someone else, in which case we are legally required to notify other agencies/services who can help. In such cases we would make all attempts to discuss this with you first in the rare occasion that this was necessary.
